POLANGUI: TOP PERFORMER IN ALBAY FOR WOMEN, CHILDREN, AND GAD LEGISLATION

The Sanggunian Bayan of Polangui has achieved 𝐓𝐎𝐏 𝟏 among all local government units in the third district (3D) of the province of Albay for the highest number of enacted laws related to women, children, and Gender and Development (GAD).

This outstanding performance covers the period from July 2022 to January 2025, demonstrating Polangui's strong commitment to gender equality, child protection, and the overall well-being of the community.

As Chairperson of the Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender and Development, Councilor Edna R. Siguenza played a vital role in steering these legislative measures. Her dedication, knowledge, and advocacy greatly contributed to crafting inclusive policies that empower women, safeguard children, and strengthen family welfare in Polangui.
