Indeed, Bernie's life was destined to traverse a tortuous trail leading to transformative adventure and at times a mis-adventure of leadership.
Despite the financial set-back that engulfed his early life, he persevered and became resolute to attain his basic instinct to enhance his well-being, survival! To Bernie, only through education, and education alone that he could transition from poverty to a well-meaningful life. His credo reverberates that "Education is the gateway to the future, for the morrow belongs to those who prepares for it today".
Sacrifice is in the offing.
To get his Elementary and High School diploma, Bernie trekked rough roads by walking through the enervating sun and unforgiving rain patiently with the fervent hope to succeed. In due time, he graduated from Itaran National High School sans the academic honors but his schoolings was coloured with hopes and dreams within the context of music and rhyme.
To build the music of Bernie's dream he went to college - Bicol College of Daraga, Albay. Thereat, he graduated with a baccalaureate degree in Accountancy. Not to be daunted, he pursued his academic academic quest, and enrolled at the graduate school of the same institution, Very recently, he graduated with the degree of Master in Management (Major in Public Administration).
The fullness of one's life is not measured alone by his academic credentials. The meaning of a man is his exposure to events and experiences which are challenges that hone his character. May I hasten to add, that it is apparent that Bernie's character of tenacity, stern fortitude and humility were reflections of his lineage to the famous Saquido Clan.
Altogether, a "persona" metamorphosed to Bernie's "self": a family man, academician, entrepreneur/businessman and most of all a POLITICAL LEADER, And, this is just the beginning...the next move is upcoming!
