At the forefront of the 11th and 12th Sanggunian Bayan of Polangui is Hon. Cherilie Mella Sampal, the first female Vice Mayor in the history of the Sangguniang Bayan of Polangui and notably the first Vice Mayor to be re-elected to the position.
